SPORTS DAY 2018
New Green Field Junior School , Malviya Nagar celebrated its Annual Sports Meet with great zest and enthusiasm . The Chief Guest Dr. B.C Sabat along with the guest of Honour Mrs. Protima Parbhakar presided over the function. Dr. B.C Sabat is the senior scientific officer in the Department of Environment. Mrs. Protima Parbhakar is the Chairperson of New Green Field Educational Society, Principal of New Green Field School , Saket and Manager of New Green Field Junior School , Malviya Nagar.
The Programme commenced with the traditional lamp lighting by the guests followed by the March Past . It showcased the amazing marching skills of the students of three houses i.e. Kaveri, Ganga and Godavari. Speeches by the school’s Principal and the Chief Guest were listened with rapt attention as mam stressed on the equal importance of academics and sports whereas Dr. B C Sabat encouraged all the children to participate in various activities and work for the betterment of the environment.
The guests were welcomed with a beautiful rendition of an invocation dance followed by the melodious singing of the school anthem by the school choir. The dance and music enthralled everybody.
Once the races began, the air was filled with cheering and encouragement for the young athletes. Students of classes Nur to 8th competed in various events like Vegetable Race, Lace the Beads, Lemon & Spoon Race, Joker Race, Sack Race, Relay and Ballon race. The cherry on the cake was the Dumbell event that exhibited the perfectly coordinated steps of the participants.
The students also displayed a Taekwondo performance mesmerizing the audience with their energetic performances. Dr. B C Sabat and Mrs. Protima Parbhakar felicitated the winners with medals and certificates.
The programme concluded with the National Anthem.
