The 74th Republic Day was celebrated with pride and reverence at NGF Junior School. The school was decked up with tricolour flags, balloons and flowers.
The ceremony began with the hoisting of the tricolor flag by the headmistress Ms. Vanita Masih. Flag hoisting was followed by the National Anthem to pay tribute to the motherland. The headmistress addressed the students narrating to them the history of Republic day, explaining the significance and the sacrifice of the great men who gave away their lives for the cause of the nation.
There was an inter-house patriotic singing competition. There were dance performances of pre primary students and senior students dancing to the rhythmic beats of patriotic songs. A melodious instrumental rendition was also presented. It was a memorable way to celebrate India’s Republic Day showcasing the knowledge and talent of the students while instilling a sense of national pride in their hearts.
